Oh, Cheeses!
I love cheese. Seriously, I don't know what I would do if I were lactose intolerant. The quality of my life would be significantly reduced if I weren't able to eat cheese anymore. I love ordering a good cheese plate when I'm out to eat, and I'm always disappointed if it comes to the table with, like, Bleu, Gouda and Goat cheese. Seriously!? Do you KNOW how many good cheese exist and you give me a wedge of Gouda?
In the spirit of Cheeses (pun intended) here's some delicious pictures I found on From Me To You - a favorite blog of mine.

A few hints for your dinner party (or just a great evening in with friends or a lovaaaa)
Serve around 4 different kinds of cheese on a wooden cutting board with a swipe of jam across for dipping. Find some great crackers, sweet crackers compliment bitter cheese, sallty crackers compliment sweet cheese. When you get your wine, bring a list of the cheeses you'll be serving and the flavors in them. The somalier should be able to tell you what wines will best compliment your fromage.
And it's always nice to start with something light... Maybe prosecco, a bowl of cherries and a good salami. Then introduce your cheese with labels secured onto toothpicks. For small additions, add bowls of honey still in the comb, varied chutneys and pestos, and some quince paste. Don't worry about not having a main course-- Never underestimate the ability one has to fill up on cheese and crackers.
Throw on a great movie like French Kiss or Amelie, but mute it and play the film's soundtrack as background music. If you have a porch or patio and the weather is welcoming you can always string up some white lights, and if there's an autumn chill, start a fire-pit!
With this many good cheese in the world, there's not good reason not to share them with friends.
