Valentine's Heads Start
My favorite thing about Valentine's Day is my girlfriends. Michael and I could typically just rent a movie or go out for dinner-- something simple to celebrate us... and besides, boys don't usually care about all the fuss that Valentine's Day gives us an excuse to indulge in. But I love spoiling my girlfriends with flowers and cookies and cute cards. It's a reason to get girlie and I LOVE IT!
So if you're looking to get a head-start on o'le Cupid, here's a few fun treats...
Nicole Lee studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and is now selling her delicious confections on Etsy... click on the pic to visit her site!
At FredFlare.com there's all sorts of weird and kitschy stuff, like this "message in a bottle" necklace. Perfect for writing an encouraging note to a friend, $22. Also, these bizarre lady-umbrellas, $32, and a flower-in-a-can $11... click pics to visit site.
I have these little, glittery, vintage postcards from Cavallini & Co., $12. I bought mine from Barnes & Noble, but you can click on the pic to visit an online site selling them. So fun for the holiday!
Hey Kids... anybody out there experimenting with photography? My buddy Nathan Johnson is a great photographer in NY. He's a young guy who started his own photography business and made it successful! I think that's totally inspiring and thought you'd like to check him out. Right now he's got a cool video up where you can watch his process a bit as he shoots an editorial fashion shoot. Click the pic to visit his website.
Here's a pic of Ellen Pompeo (Greys Anatomy) visiting a Pepsi pop-up cafe in LA, promoting their newest project "Refresh Everything". It's actually pretty cool... Pepsi is giving away over a million dollars every month to consumer-nominated organizations/ideas. This means YOU can come up with a cool idea (i.e. send sleeping bags to Troops, or Build a community garden in a low-income neighborhood, etc...) and strategy and the public can vote on your idea. Most popular concept is funded by Pepsi!
